Phone System connection

It would be great to be able to connect my Inter-Tel phone system to SalesLogix so that when the caller ID fires, the account associated with it would launch and allow me to more easily create a ticket for a service call. |

Cosider using a product called "Intelli-CTI" by QGate. It will allow you to do exactly that. The pricing just changed, in the past you used to have to buy a 1:1 for every saleslogix user, now you can buy the licenses for the users who need it. Be warned however that some organizations purchase trunk numbers to handle their call volume for instance (201-555-5000 thru 201-555-5050) may be owned by one particular organization. Since SalesLogix may only have a record for 201-555-5000, it may be difficult to identify the incoming caller. The Intelli-CTI product does have an ability to add numbers (into a seperate table) created by Intelli-CTI so if that number is used again, the product will idenify it if added. If you are using a VoIP phone system, you will need the Tapi driver to load on everyone's workstation. Your phone system vendor can provide you one, most of the time the basic driver is free however you will need to check that. I am not sure if the product will work in a non-VoIP environment but QGate can tell you that. |
