Picklist Control suddenly disable

I'm running SLX 7.01 (I know we're a few releases behind) and I created a new picklist and added a picklist control to the Contact Detail form. I released the form and it worked for about 3 weeks. Yesterday all of a sudden it stopped working. I get what appears to a blank textbox that I cannot enter text into and without the ellispe box for selecting from the picklist. Nothing's changed on our servers or client machines.
Has anyone seen this before?

Check field-level security (Manage / Field Security Profiles) for the field to which the picklist is bound. There is a bug that sometimes defaults new fields to 'no access' - not sure when it was fixed. |

Thanks, Phil. I checked field-level security and the field looks OK. I then checked the server and there was a hung scheduled task. I stopped it and now everything seems to work fine (had to reboot my client, though). Does this make sense? Should I reboot the SLX server over the weekend to clear this up? |

Sounds a bit weird to me. What was the scheduled task doing? If it works OK now, maybe it was just a glitch - the sort of thing I wouldn't do anything about until it happens again ... |

The task was updating records in the Contacts table. I think, perhaps, it locked some of the fields. I've had this happen before and it sort of cleared up after about 2 days and many bottles of Aspirin. |
