Calendars
Posted: 10 Feb 10 8:51 AM
I'm attempting to add a simple "time card" function within the calendars where an employee enters the date, times, and hours worked. They can also pick an absense reason and enter some text. My question is, is it possible to have it drop on the SalesLogix calendar?
thanks,
dave

With some code, yes.

OK Phil, how do you get access to the Calendar MainView detail form to write 'some code'?
Obviously you can create 'time slip' Activity records and have them function like an Activity and they'll show up in the calendar.....but I haven't tried to customize the Calendar and was wondering in what version was it opened up to developers?

Your 'obviously' comment is what I was thinking of - using code to create records in ACTIVITY and USER_ACTIVITY should 'drop' them into the Calendar quite nicely. The original question was terse so my answer followed suit.

Got it, I was thrown off by the original poster's "Drop" comment....was thinking Drag and Drop.....
