How to highlight/select DataGrid row using Index or rownumber
Posted: 18 Jul 10 5:23 AM
Hi. Legacy script had a feature: DBGridMove "Datagrid","Next" which would move selected row to the next row. How can I do this in VB script-?
this is what I have so far.
Datagrid.Selection.Clear
Datagrid.Selection.Add("FieldValue")
If I could get the fiieldvalue using index then I could use something like this
Datagrid.Selection.Add(datagrid.SelectedNodes.Item(0).Values(3))
except the datagrid.selectednodes.item(0) will always be zero can't be greater than zero since I am always selecting one row.
this is not a multi selected row.
Thank You
H

Oh, also I wanted to add that I can't use shell WScript object to send keystrokes, since this grid will be located on another form.

well Selected is NOT Selected Nodes (or vice versa). We use SelectedNodes all of the time for an accurate reading on what the USER has actually selected (not what SLX thinks they've selected, which automagically includes the first row of a grid whether it has data or not, and whether the user has clicked on it or not).
I don't know if this stuff works, but it appears on the right track.
Datagrid.Selection.Clear
Datagrid.Selection.Add("KeyFieldIDValue")
I would loop through the grid looking for a field value, then do a Datagrid.Selection.Add for that specific KeyFieldID value.....
I don't know if you have to refresh the grid or mess with OnCustomDrawCell to get the grid to highlight your nonGui row selection.....
