Refreshing Datagrid from managed form
Posted: 22 Jul 10 9:43 AM
Hi All,
I have a Managed form and when enter values in the form and save it goes a table and the I have datagrid under the ticket detail view which is a ticket form fetching data from
the table where the managed form stores values. So Now when i close the managed form i want to refesh the grid in the tab so that the values that i have enetered in the managed form is reflected in the data grid.
Thanks,
Ajoy

On the base form (the Tab) add event handlers for the grid: onEdited, OnAdded, OnDeleted..... do a grid.refresh.
Or if you launched the managed from a button, when you return from the launch do a grid.refresh.
I usually have a GridName_Refresh routine, and simply call it from wherever\whenever I need it.....the refresh routine may be a bit more complex the grid.refresh (maybe you have to refesh the grid by a recordset or an updated SQL statement).
