History Main View
Posted: 02 Aug 10 4:12 PM
I am trying to create a History main view much like the Activity one, but I am not having a lot of luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
Is there a way to create a main view that doesn't have the Details area? Or is there a way to make it so the tabs section goes always the way to the top? I just need to see the list of History items in a few different list tabs (like you do with the activities). I can make the middle section not visible, but the top details area seems to want to always be visible.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ronnie

A Nav Bar button doesn't have to launch a Main View.....it could launch a Managed Form. That wouldn't have any Middle Pane or Tab Pane....you could add your own tab control down the bottom and have different 'views'\grids per tab......
So you have a History Nav Bar button....and it launches a Managed Form....and you start scripting from there.....

Well you could use a Main View.....make the Middle Pane visibility False, Group Pane visibility false.
Then make the Details pane very small or have a tab on it that has your approved lists of History....heck you could make the Tabs pane invisibilite.....and just have a big details view...
I like the ability to have more than one main view window open.....not possible with a managed form launching from a Nav Bar button.....and why not a Groups View? Would seem to be a dream situation for Users: get me all of the notes from Jan-June 2010 that dealt with Opportunities with SalesPotential over 100,000, status closed - lost, and a Notes type of Meeting or Phone Call with Regarding containing '%Deal%'
