LAN Association Tab: AccountAssociation check box value no longer T for an Account to Account Association

In days of old when knights were bold.....
The AccountAssociation field was set to 'T' for an Account to Account Association, 'F' for a Contact to Contact Association.
In the new functionality, on the Add Edit Association screen, the check box (data bound to AccountAssociation) is used for the question Do you want me to go ahead and associate the Accounts as well as the selected Contacts.....only appearing when this is a Contact to Contact Association.
It doesn't appear that AccountAssociations = 'T' has any validity anymore......what, if anything have people done with legacy data...where AccountAssociation = 'T' meant this was an Account to Account Association.....is there any changes in functionality affected anywhere else in the database? of course, don't forget to clean up any F8 Listviews\Groups......

When making Account Associations, in the Database Account.AccountAssociation is not set to False where it should be True
What is the status of a fix?
