Hi.

Im developing a new form that i would like to call from a menu option that i added to the Tools-Managment -> custom list

When i call the form from a button i shows and works withot problems, but when i try to call it from the menu option shows:

Cannot find or access the subject required by Personla.CustomList

The form is brand new and it hasen't been released yet.

Should i released it or should i add the new form somewhere else before call it from the menu?

Sounds like you have a data bound form and launching it via DoInvoke. That won't work. If you have a data bound form then you must launch it using ShowViewForRecord (it's complaining because a data bound form must have context, either for a new record or passing it an ID value to edit - using ShowViewForRecord allows you to do that). This article shows some details on using ShowViewForRecord: http://www.slxdeveloper.com/page.aspx?action=viewarticle&articleid=48

Thanks.

But i think that this is not the problem.

When i go to the administrator, i check my user, on the tab function security it does not shows the opcion that i added on the menu -> tools-> managment-> Custom List

Could be that i have to add a record somewhere else?

Why calling the form from the button works and i does not from the menu opcion?

Or what steps should i follow to add a functionality to the menu that i could manage by the adminisrator tool

Regards
