I'm in a situation here.  I'm pretty code sauvy, use SQL all the time, VB and VBA.  As you know each one has some of their own little syntex that it likes.  Being the Architect and Admin for our SLX product do you think I would get enough value out of just taking the VBScripting class and then using the various forums that I already find helpful on here.

I already know how to make basic forms, alter the forms, add new tables and link them etc in SLX.  I'm wanting to move to some more complex forms though so that's why I want to take the VBScript class.

Issue is that the custom class I can take for SLX will run about $6.5k for all expenses, with the class itself being $4.9k of that. I can take the VBScript class for all expenses for around $4k.

So for you developers out there what do you think?

I guess my question would be what you deemed as the "More Complex" stuff.

If you are talking about writing lots of VBScript routines, then yes, take the VB Script class.

If you are trying to learn more about SLX, then take some advance SLX classes (not sure what the classes cover, so I could not advice you on specific classes).

For LAN development: Buy DevLogix and look at this forum and ITToolBox.....you'll be fine.
