Can anyone tell me the real difference between the SLX Remote users and the Web users?

Remote User: Has the LAN client installed and that uses a local database that is "cut" from the main database.  Syncs are required in order to send/receive database updates to/from the main database.

Web User: Uses a browser based client to access the main database.

So my next doubt is that.. suppose we're migrating the remote users to network users.. Remote users is using the local database, right? like MSDE...??
So how to back up the data in case the sync is not happening..?? I want all the data updated by the remote users on their local database moved to the Saleslogix database.. and how can i make the back up the MSDE data..??

Well, i checked the administrator  and found so many groups and Web users and Remote users are the two groups..
So both users using the same version of SLX, how the web users are accessing the saleslogix then..

I don't understand the problem.

Remote users have local databases which synchronise with the main (host) database.

Web users access the host database directly.

Outcome: the host database is always up to date with all changes, as long as all of the remotes have synchronised.

Ok. What if the synchronisation is not happening? Is there any way I could back up those data in local database and move them to the host database? I hope its clear now.

Make the sync happen if you can. The alternatives (resync, manual SQL updates) are not great.

If the users are not syncing regularly (once a day) its a user issue.  Software is not going to be able address this problem.  Remote users MUST sync at least every couple days.  It is highly recommended that syncing be done at least once daily if not more often to keep remote databases and the host database up-to-date.  There is a way to force the sync to happen automatically, but I've found many users turn this off for one reason or another.

Syncing has to be laid out by company policy along with actions that will be taken if not done in a timely manner.

If the remote users are not on at least 6.2.3 or 4 and the Sync Server is not on 6.2.6 you will not have sync.......

that may be your first step.....upgrade everyone to 6.2.6.......sync the remotes.....and have the users only use the network connection starting yesterday.
