Can I call a macro function in excel from SalesLogix and return the result using the excel application object? If its possible, some sample code would be awesome. We have a financial model that for reasons needs to stay in excel but I would like to leverage the functions in the custom modules from within SLX passing through opportunity data and returning values.

SLX V7.5.3 LAN / Excel 2007 (xlsm)

Thanks in advance

Leon

I've answered my own question - Yes I can

Dim xlApp
Dim xlBook
Dim szResult

    Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    Set xlBook = xlApp.Workbooks.Open("U:\SLXTest.xlsm")

    szResult = xlApp.Run("SLXTest.xlsm!SLXCheck", edtnumberfield.Text)
    MsgBox szResult

    xlBook.Close False
    Set xlBook = Nothing
    xlApp.Quit
    Set xlApp = Nothing
