New tab only shows in "More tabs"

SLX 6.2.3 SQL Server 2000. This is only happening to some users. I updated a Legacy Form Account:Contact and versioned up from 6.204 to 6.205. The new form simply has a new column added to the datagrid. It is released to Everyone. Some users have it readily accessible. Others have an older version without the new column showing in their Account tabs. However, those users do have the correct version in their "More Tabs" and can drag it to a Middle View but can not drag it to their Account tabs. I have checked the SLXOLEDB.dll across the board and it is 6.2.3.1109. I have tried unreleasing the tab and re-releasing and have also Removed and re-added the form repeatedly in Admin:Tools:Options:Client Plugins:Main View Tabs:Account Details
Any ideas on why it would be OK for some users and others, not?
Thanks,
Jeff |

I have seen something like this before. The user's preferences are stored in the registry which over-ride the Admin:Tools:Options:Client Plugins:Main View Tabs:Account settings. Look under the current_user\software\SalesLogix node in the registry. Once you delete the information it will get rebuild when you start SalesLogix with the default values (set under Tools:Options:Client Plugins).
If this is what is going on then logging on as the uses on the host database should work.

Frank, You hit the nail on the head. Sadly, I ran into this before on this exact same tab last time I updated it about a year ago and did not recall that it was the same Tab and behavior. Indeed, I deleted the registry entries for the users in question for that form and SLX recreated the registry entries so that the correct Form is showing in both More Tabs and the Account Tabs, Bottom view.
Thanks!
