In the Sales Client Ticketing Detail you can click on the magnifying glass to bring up the lookup for Accounts.
The Control takes a while to load because of the number of records we have in the accounts table.
Can you prevent the lookupedit control from loading all those records. That can cause some delay until you are able to start search for the account.

Actually, that's not the case (unless someone has been playing). What should happen is that you press the button and the lookup appears and awaits input - i.e. no searching has been performed.
This is the same for Insert Ticket etc.

However, what I suspect has happened is that the user has set the auto-query - in Tools | Options | Lookups and Groups - switch off the "Auto Query on Open". I really don't like that option as it has this effect on large DB's - fine on small ones but no good on large ones !

You will now notice that any lookup (where set) - will just sit there awaiting input - you then put a few chars in and then press F2 or hit mag glass - it will then search for that information - as opposed to searching for all info, then just your info - which is a big waste of database resources. You should find that any lookup is now a lot quicker and your user will be very pleased !
