I am new to SalesLogix, and very new to slxdeveloper.com. Please if I post a thread already discussed, refer the proper thread/article that can assist me. Thank you...

I am the initial DBA for a firm. They used SLX in the past but had a falling out. They are resurrecting it and I am the guy that will do it. I have recently installed the Admin Workstation on my PC. When I try to log in using the User Name and Password (previously created) I receive an error message "Access violation at address (number) in 'module.exe'. Read of address (number)."

After reading a few threads/articles from slxdeveloper.com I still cannot resolve this issue. Any help???

Thank you.

Lots of questions come to mind..

1st -- Which version of SLX..?
2nd -- Did you do the install from Discs...? or was it installed already from before..?

It's SalesLogix 6.2 SP2.

I installed it from a disc (Administrator Tools).

The original message I received was "Authentication Failed." IT staff tried to resolve the issue but now I get the error message I originally posted.

Thanks for any help all!
