Hello,

Once a day or so the web client starts hanging on Login. In the event viewer I can see the 4 events to bring up the home page:

IP: Request dispatched.

Description:

Now, normally you would put your username and password in and get:

Request Received by dispatcher Server : SalesLogix1026
Thread ID: 1200 User: INVALID
IP: Request dispatched.
/login

In my case, this request never goes out and internet explorer just sits there.
Running IISRESET takes care of the issue, but I'd rather not have to run IISRESET every day.

Any ideas?

Humm this could be a tricky problem to find, the event logs don't really point to anything.
The first thing I would do (if you've not done so already) is check all the version numbers for your files are correct, this includes all the files (dll,exe) in the SalesLogix folder and the files, in the 3 folders in the web components directory

scripts
mmserver
aspscripts

You'll also need to check the versions on the SalesLogix server.

We have not installed any hot fixes. We did install the marketing bundle on the LAN side, but have not installed the Web Marketing executable on Web. I don't believe we need marketing on the Web. Could this be causing an issue?

Hello,

I reviewed a list put together by Paul H. and I haven't received this issue for over a week now. I went through and gave specific rights to the webdll user, but it wasn't anything I thought would fix the issue. I'll just have to wait and see.
