SpeedSearch on Customer Portal - is this behavior by design?

I configured the SpeedSearch Ticket index and ran a search on the customer portal. The results came back with a lot of hits for documents titled "TICKET: no longer exists or you do not have access." It's displaying information from tickets that belong to other accounts in the database, with a message that seems to indicate that account-level security should not allow the results, but the criteria-match-highlighted info is still there in the summaries.
I basically had assumed that the SpeedSearch results would only contain hits for tickets that belong to the account of the logged-in user. Is this by design? It's not very secure or pretty to look at. I imagine I can modify the associated SpeedSearch.aspx and .cs and whatever other files to make the necessary changes to support this, but I wondered if this was something that was supposed to be this way out of the box... |

| I know its like that by design in previous versions, so I would guess that it is by design in this version also. As it uses flat files for the information, it doesnt have the capacity built in to use the security tables (secrights etc.). It should but it doesnt appear to! |

| I think for now we're just going to remove the SpeedSearch availability from the customer portal. We can't have our clients seeing ticket information that isn't associated with their account. I'll make a task for constraining the SpeedSearch query for later and look at it in a few months. |
