I have the ID from a grid...

string id = grdAccounts.DataKeys[rowIndex].Value.ToString();

Then what?

Or, use a PageLink Column on your Grid:

<Columns>

...
<asp:TemplateField HeaderTextAccount" SortExpression="Account" >
<itemtemplate>
<SalesLogix:PageLink runat="server"
NavigateUrl="Account"
EntityId='<%# DataBinder.Eval("Id") %>'
Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval("Account") %>'
