Mail Merge - 64 bit Server Issue
Posted: 11 Jul 09 5:45 PM
We have a 64 bit Saleslogix Web Server in which we are seeing a delay of 4 minutes to load the Mail Merge Screen on the click on the Write->Mail Merge menu from the Client side. Did anybody have this kind of issue? I am struggling a lot to find out a solution for this problem. Any help is highly appreciated.

The Mail Merge is an ActiveX control, but off course does interact with the server.
I would suggest that you run an HTTP sniffer to check if it is indeed waiting for a Server response, or if the delay is local (instantiating the object).
If it is indeed waiting for a response from the server, the next step would be to try to determine what that call is.
So, you should also run the SLX Profiler and see if there are any queries taking a long time to return, if so you may need to tweak the DB.
