Seems to be timing out rebuilding the Schema (which can take several minutes).

Depending on the changes to the schema, you may want to change the Status on the Plugin table to avoid the rebuild
or
maybe trying to load the groups from a Windows client and once the schema is rebuilt, try it again from the Web client
or
increase your timeouts on the server

Glad to be able to help.

The way that SLX works, it stores a copy of the Schema as an XML document within the Plugin table (PluginID = XMLSCHEMA).

Whenever the schema is changed, this record is flagged as "REBUILD" (Using the Datacode field). So, if this is causing problems and you don't have a windows client available, you could change the DATACODE back to blank and bypass the schema building.

This schema document is used to build the Tree that is displayed on the Group builder. It includes the Joins and field names and descriptions. For the Web client (and I assume this is a bug), the group builder doesn't rely on the Join Data directly, so the tables visibility is based on this document. I have at times managed this document myself to hide tables that are not relevant to my clients, but would advise against it unless you have a direct hand on supporting their environment.

The problem that you ran into, which I have also ran into in the past, is that when the schema needs to be rebuilt, it could take several minutes. The windows client doesn't timeout while rebuilding it, but with the Web clients there are many timeouts that one could reach that it becomes difficult to wait it out.

Hi,

I changed the "DataCode" field, the "Plugin" table, to blank, but the problem persists, it only ocurrs in IE. I read that you are talking about to increase the timeout, I tried to go to the "Connection Manager" menu and change the timeout manually, but when I save the new timeout value, it disappears when I open that window again.

Can someone help me, please?

Thanks,

Elizabeth:

It the previous case, the problem was that the Schema was getting rebuilt.
You stated that you changed the data code to blank, what was it before you did so? Unless you are constantly adding fields, you should not have a constant need to reset this field as the schema wouldn't be getting rebuilt.

Did you check the Event Logs for errors?

Thank you for answer me Raul,

I just checked the event logs on the server, and I got this:

I was confused because the ie is displaying me the same message "The data neccesary to complete this operation is not yet available", and in FF is not happening.

Do you have any idea about this problem, pls.?

Thanks.

Any other errors (or warnings) just prior to this one?
This particular one may be a call after the session is no longer valid.

Well, the event logs are not showing any other error. I'm seeing this error when I go to the "Ticket" level, and I want to do a lookup, a simple search. The ie takes too much time to show me the result of the lookup and after 20 minutes, it shows me the error that says "The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available". I thought that it was a timeout problem, but I think that it is not, because in Firefox it is not happening...

Have you ever had a similar error?

Thanks,
