Textbox does not contain a definition for IsReadOnlyYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I'm creating a new C# code snippet.

isReadOnly appears as a valid property in intellisense under "this.AccountName." So my code looks like this:

this.AccountName.isReadOnly = true;

But SLX comes back and says

'System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox' does not contain a definition for 'IsReadOnly'

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Try:

this.AccountName.ReadOnly

Textbox indeed don't expose a property called "IsREadOnly" but one called "ReadOnly"

That worked! Thanks!

I think I'm going crazy. I really do see "isReadOnly" as a dropdown selection in intellisense (using AA) after typing "this.AccountName." But we're still PRE-SP1. Huh.

SalesLogix has a TextBoxControlAdapter that has an IsReadOnly property, which is then mapped to the ReadOnly property of the actual control.

Seems to me as if AA is polling the Property from the Adapter rather than the actual control being rendered.
Which, if you pay attention to the error message that you receive, is the standard ASP.NET TextBox ( System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox )

This is why right away I knew that you needed to be using ReadOnly instead.
