Upgrade issues with 7.5 customer portalYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I'm trying to get a customers customer portal working in 7.5.0. It's generic - nothing has been changed as far as functionality. Their area, category & issue items have custom values, but that's it.

I've built the web platform & deployed. It runs, but whenever I go to add a ticket and save, I get the following error message:

Could not save object:
An exception occurred executing the dynamic method Ticket.OnBeforeInsert.:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Nothing has been done to the Ticket.OnBeforeInsert Event - everything is as out of the box. I open the project in Visual Studio and run it from there and get the same error. I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for. Anyone have any ideas or further questions for me?

Thanks,

Jeff

Solved the issue. Thanks to slxprofiler, I discovered there were no ticket groups released to the customer portal user. Profiler clued me in when I noticed a query looking for plugins that returned no records. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I released a group that shows open tickets and voila, all was well.

I don't know if this would have been a problem in the customer's existing web portal as all I get are errors "Error translating virtual directories" from the slxweb.dll.
