HI,

I have a saleslogix application server and seperate database server.
I have configured all the saleslogix tools like SLXClient,Customer Portal,Web Reporting,Syncronization,Outlook Integration etc..
Everything is working fine.

Now i have taken a backup of Saleslogix database in the current database server and i have restored in another server. The application server remains same.

I have created the connection in the connection manger and the administrator. But the slxclient still pointing to the old database.
Now how can i point the application server in to the new database?
How can i get all the slx tools to get working?

On your SLX Application server, you need to modify your Database Alias defined on the Connection Manager.

I meant that you could've edited the existing connection.

Creating a new one works as well, but you have to give it the same name, thus no need to modify any other component.

I tried to do that, but it shows me a warning saying that, i can not revert back to the current database server.
Actually where they are setting the datbase settings for the SLX client. so that i can able to modify that.
