Moving the DB from sql 2005 to sql 2008

Hi all,
I have made all the installation and customization on the sql 2005 .Now i want to move this db to sql 2008 .So what should i do to move the DB to sql 2008 .The if i move the db to sql 2008 should i re build and deploy using the new connection TO SQl 2008 dB.

Hi
Copy the .mdf and ldf files to another folder, then in 2008 sql server, attach those mdf and ldf files to a new database

This is one way to do it, but keep in mind that you will have to Detach the database before proceeding.
Also, you need to ensure that your sysdba login and schema exist on the new server and then re-map then on the new DB.
An alternative is to do a Backup and Restore of the database (same challenges apply).
And you could also use the "Copy Database" wizard on SQL Management studio 2008 to move the Database with all required objects to the new server.
