SalesLogix Web 7.5.1 Windows event log errors
Posted: 08 Sep 09 8:43 AM
Hi,
Our SLX Web 7.5.1 users have slownesses random.
When we look at the Windows event viewer of the IIS server, we see the following errors:
Log 1-->
ERROR Sage.SalesLogix.Web.SLXMembershipProvider - cannot open connection
Log 2-->
ERROR NHibernate.Util.ADOExceptionReporter - No error message available, result code: DB_SEC_E_AUTH_FAILED(0x80040E4D)
Log 3-->
ERROR NHibernate.Util.ADOExceptionReporter - cannot open connection
Log 4-->
ERROR Web Host - Connection Exception: No error message available, result code: DB_SEC_E_AUTH_FAILED(0x80040E4D)
Anyone an idea?
Thanks a lot
Charles

Surely:
That sequence of events are logged in response to a failed login.
If you want to test it, try the following:
- Open up a Connection to your SLX Web Client but don't login. Populate a bad username/password combination
- Clear your Event Log
- Click on the Login button.
You will notice thta the 4 entries you listed above are recorded.
Login with valid credentials and they are not.
