String Expression based on extended entity propertyYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I am trying to set the String Expression for an Entity to be a value from an extended entity. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, what the syntax is? I've tried:
${theextendedentity.theproperty}, but that throws an error.

I haven't played around much with the Expression directly, but you may try this as a Workaround:

On the Main Entity, add a New Code Property.
On the Code Property, make it return a String which is the value of your ExtendedEntity.Property (check for null, etc).
On the String Expression, use your new Property, no need to try to link here to the Extended Entity.

Again, this may not be the best answer, but I am pretty sure it will get you going.

Yes, that seems a bit long-winded...but it got the job done! Thanks, Raul.
