Hi,
How do i copy a portal in Application Architect (7.5.1) so i can connect it to a different set of files in the VFS and deploy it as a second Saleslogix web client (for testing/coding purposes)
Or is there a better way?

The best way would be to create a second local project and copy the VFS to it, then create a second build path and a second deployment to a different IIS instance. That way you have two distinct deployments on the same computer. Beware though, any Hotfixes or whatever you apply to one will affect the other. Also, you should be sure to use the correct build path each time, or you can confuse SLX. Hope this answers your question!

I would argue that you may want to have a Separate Database altogether (a Dev environment).
Otherwise, you may not be able to test any schema changes since those would affect the database immediately.

Very good point. This will also make testing easier, as you can do what you want without worrying about what you might be affecting.

If you only have a single live environment, then you'll definitely want to create a development version - this should be a completely different instance of SLX complete with a separate database.
