How to get data from another database and show it in slx grd (saleslogix 7.5 web)
Posted: 12 Nov 09 7:18 AM
Hi
I am having a requirement where i need to fetch the data from another data base based on the key reference no that is in slx db (lets say under account i need to show this grid in more tabs section based on the key that will provide in a text box that will be in account detail screen. But in slx web we can create a grid form with wizard. How can we achieve this if we want to fetch the data from other database?
Regards
Mark

Easiest way (if possible on your environment), build an SQL view on the SLX Database that integrates the External data.
If the data is on the same server, this is a simple task, otherwise you may have to take additional steps, but should still be possible to do so.
Once that is done, you can Enable the View within SLX Database Manager.
