First off, let me reiterate how much training i've NOT had for SLX.

Under Insert Contact/Account they want a couple of changes, the first being to just change the Home Phone to Other Phone. (then some different pick lists and check boxes)
First off i'm not even sure if i'm editing it in the right place. (Portal Manager>SageSalesLogix>Pages>Insert Contact/Account)
I went in to edit the InsertContact.ascx Smart Part.

Well I figured i'd start by just trying to duplicate this with the word "Other":
Label ID="phnContactHomePhone_lz" AssociatedControlID="phnContactHomePhone" Text="<%$ resources: phnContactHomePhone.Caption %>"
SalesLogix:Phone runat="server" ID="phnContactHomePhone"

I added BindingSource.Bindings.Add(new WebEntityBinding("OtherPhone", phnContactOtherPhone, "Text"));

Where does $ resources: phnContactHomePhone.Caption come from?

I get the error The resource object with key 'phnContactOtherPhone.Caption' was not found.
Is there an easier to edit entity form i'm missing somewhere?

Seems as if you copied an existing control, then paste it and did a Replacement.
What happens now is that you have a non-existent refrence for a Resource string. You should either remove such a reference and just put in your Text value on it, or edit the Associated Resource file and add an entry for phnContactOtherPhone.Caption. The matching file would be located on a subfolder called "App_LocalResources" and will have a "matching" name for your form (e.g. AccountAssets.ascx will have a matching resource file called AccountAssets.ascx.resx)

Wonderful, thank you so much. I originally tried just changing the Text Value but it gave an error about Literal Text not allowed... But that worked great.

Now I'm stuck on the problem that I changed all the values of the Account Type Picklist, but it still auto fills in the initial value of 'Prospect' which is no longer in the list. The dropdown values however reflect the changes made ... ??...
I assume its in some other file I don't know about.

Yeap, that code is within the SLX DLLs, you can create your own event to run after SAGE's OnCreate event and override that default value.
