Code Snippets
Posted: 14 Dec 09 3:37 PM
Where are code snippet files stored at inside my VFS?
Example I add a Code Snippet to the onLoad event of ContactDetails. I add a step and i choose to edit it and AA opens ContactDetails.OnLoad1.OnLoad1Step.cs
Where is this c# file at so I can copy it to my bundle?

The .cs file is located in the same folder location (database of the file based vfs location) as the containing smartpart. The .cs file is included when you bundle the smart part itself (in your case contact details).

To add it to a bundle, create/open a manifest and expand the entity, expand forms, drag the form with the LoadAction from the tree under the entity into the manifest.

Is there a way to directly access the c# file through Project Explorer? (Instead of going to properties -> Load actions -> snippet properties -> misc -> edit link)
I.e. Can I navigate to that c# file directly via Project Explorer, Double-click it and open it up to edit it?

No I dont think so - if you use the Virtual File System explorer it may be exposed somewhere but I doubt it. I would edit them in exactly the way you have been to be on the safe side. You dont want to edit a load of code and find you have lost it because you are getting to it in a non-standard way.
