7.52 Datagrid with multiple edit columnsYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I inserted two columns of type "edit column" to my datagrid.
Each of them is calling an own edit dialog in order to manipulate the respective data.
However, no matter which column I click, the edit dialog of the 2nd edit column is raised.

Isn't it possible to have two edit columns in a grid?

No you cannot - the code generated issues a row command of 'Edit' for an edit column (have a look at your generated ASCX file on the website to see what I mean). Your code is hitting the first 'Edit' command and thus ignoring the 2nd.

You can get around this by making your second edit column a rowselection column instead and editing the grid's OnRowSelect action to pop your other dialog up. I've used this workaround a few times myself.

I will use the work-around you suggested.
Thanks a lot.
