I am having trouble in the App Architech when editing a relationship and trying to update the cascade property to something other than "Save Update". The drop down has the values in and it lets me change and the save this but when reopening the relationship property the cascade has reverted back to "Save Update". I wondered if anyone else has seen this and can offer an explanation!?

I had a simlar problem saving a property at entity level, it turns out it wasnt being saved at all because the entity wasnt highlighted when I clicked save. I was told it was fixed in a later version, but maybe not for relationships? Make sure the relationship is highlighted and selected and click save. And try Save all too. Worth a try..

What version of App Architect? I've noticed that in 7.5.1 and 7.5.2 the drop-down list for the "Cascade" field in the relationship form seems to default to "Save Update" regardless of the actual saved value of the property. Check in the Properties panel the value for the "Cascade Options" property to see the actual saved value.

There is an issue with this dropdown in AA - the cascade setting is saved correctly. Whatever value you pick will be saved to the relationship when you click 'Save', but when you re-load it, it will always display "Save Update". Apparently, the DropDown does not bind correctly.

To verify, examine the relationship definition xml file stored in the project directory "Model\Entity Model\Relationships". You can navigate to this directory using VFS explorer if your project is stored in the VFS, or Windows File explorer if you're working with a LFS. Search for "cascadeOption" in the file to see what the setting is.
