Custom link in group list?

Hi all. I've been struggling with this for hours, and haven't found any way of displaying a custom link on a group list. The idea is the following. Say we are in Contact list view. I'd like a hyperlink column that is something like "do something" (hover on the link to see what i'm talking about). Similar to the way the activity list works. Makes sense? Problem is, i haven't found any reasonable way of doing this, since the query builder is so limited. The only "similar" option is "entity link" for a given column, but that just creates a link to the entity detail page, and there's no way of customizing it. I tried with calculated fields (in order to create the html at db level), but special characters are escaped, so all i get is text, no real html code. I'm puzzled. Any ideas?
