Error when launching Application Architect

I am getting the following error when launching Application Architect: ------------------------------------------------------------------- An application exception has occurred.
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object (ActiproSoftware.SyntaxEditor.Addons.DotNet.Net20) -------------------------------------------------------------------
This just started today; I have been able to use it before with no problems, and I have not installed any new programs or patches. The application will still open, but it seems it's only a short matter of time before it crashes. This error doesn't happen every time, but it has happened 8 out of 10 times opening the app today.
Has anyone encountered this before, and were you able to resolve it? |

Have you tried the obvious:
- Restart your machine. - Do a Clean boot (e.g. remove as much of the Auto Start applications) - Run a Repair from Control Panel / Add Remove Programs.
Also, if by any chance you re-run a Repair and/or added a new SLX Component from the Original Media, did you re-apply al Service Packs and Hotfixes to match your current version? |

Actually, the fact the the object seems to be the C# syntax editor made me think it had something to do with certain snippets being open when it opened the application, so I tried this:
- Open app, get error - Quickly close all open document windows and close app - Open app again, no error.
Since I also have noticed that having C# snippets open when the app first opens can cause them to become disconnected from their parent objects, I've just gotten into the habit of closing them all before closing the app (or repeating the above steps whenever necessary). I'm still not sure which C# code was causing the syntax editor to barf on load, but since it all builds and runs, I'm not going to worry about it further. Thanks for the help though, Raul. |
