OS: Windows 2008 Standard Edition SP1  installed on a VM WAre instance

SQL : SQL 2008 standard edition

Would like some input here if i am missing some thing during the web deployment. I am able to build the interfaces, web platform but unable to deploy SalesLogix web on the IIS. I am getting the following error

"unable to locate the IIS instance on the specified server"

I am attaching the application architect output window screenshot. I have checked that the IIS has IIS 6.0 compatibility option is installed. Providing the screenshot of the IIS Roles for Web Server

If you manually configure within IIS the Application Pool used for SalesLogix by settig it to run in Classic mode rather than the integrated mode the above errors vanish and you are able to deploy the portal without issues. In case the OS uses Windows Server 2008 R2 / 64 Bit, then by going to the website advance settings and specifying the website to run in 32 bit will resolve the issue.

Other areas to check for if this issue pops up would be to locate for

Windows Firewall and UAC and ensure they are disabled

Regards

Kannan
