Service Unavailable on testing the Web Portal

Ok my SLX v7.2.2 portal is not working any pointers here, the error is written in the subject line.
This is a new install
Environment
Win2K3 with Service Pack 2(Sequence of Install first install Win2k3 on a vmware Restarted the Machine and then installed the Windows 2k3 Service Pack 2 then restarted the system)
Created a Web DLL user with the password and then added the webdll user to the machine's administrators group
Set the short date for webdll by logging into the machine with webdll user. Logged back as administrator of the machine and set the following rights to the webdll user in the local security policy
---->Access this computer from the network ---->Act as part of the Operating System ---->Allow Log on Locally
gave the full permission rights to webdll for the folders SyncLogs,Documents,Library folder.
Installed SQL Express 2005
Restarted the Machine
Installed SalesLogix Admin Tools and Servers v7.2.0 Installed SalesLogix Web Host v7.2.0 Installed SalesLogix Client v7.2.0
Gave the Web Components folder full permission rights to the Web DLL user.
Restarted the Machine
Extracted the SalesLogix v7.2.2 Service pack to a temporary Location. Installed the SP2 Install.exe and restarted the machine.Opened the application architect, clicked open the project explorer and then installed bundle v7.2.1 SP1.zip. Installed the bundle v7.2.1 Leads Module.zip Installed the bundle v7.2.2 SP2.zip
I then selected the Web Portal and hold the control key and then clicked Build Interfaces, this results in sucessful build without any errors
I then click on the build web platform by holding the control Key and then this results in a sucessful web platform build
Post this I click edit portal and choose the same machine name and port name i gave during the web host install and then click on deploy selected, this results in the deployment suceeded without any errors.
I then click on test portal, the most frustrating portion it results in Service Not Available or Service Unavailable. I checked the following to ensure that what i did was right.
Went to the web site properties and went to the directory security to ensure webdll was the user mentioned, i then check in the application pool for the web host which is also having the same identity.
Any ideas where I am missing anything.

is this mentioned in the implementation guide, if not what are the things that i need to do?
Create a web site in IIS Point to the SLXClient directory set the windows identity to webdll or a saleslogix specific windows user set the application pool to a custom application pool anything else?
If so i have tried all these still not working

So after creating all that in IIS you redeployed the portal to it and still get the same result. Is that right?
Maybe try changing the identity for the pool back to the Network Service user. Does that any difference? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Make sure the IIS Application Pool is up and running for the web portal, sdata, slxclient,et al.
Make sure that in Windows Server Security you have Added Administrator to the IIS_WPG user group...any other users\guests\WebDLL service users that need to be part of this windows user group as well for your setup??? |
