I have some problem with SalesLogix Mobile NEW 2011 R1.

After install SalesLogix 7.5.3 with Web Hot Fix 03, I install Sage SalesLogix Mobile 2011 R1, then i try to logon to http://server:port/SlxMobile/ and received a messagebox:

Page on http://server:port/ :

A problem occured on the server.

And does not logon.

Where did i wrong?

I find why show this MessageBox:
SlxMobile does not find the page sdata\slx\dynamic\-\users\Default.aspx
This page on my Saleslogix Web 7.5.3.WHF3 is absent, but declared in:
%userprofile%\Application Data\Sage\Platform\Output\sdata\DynamicAdapter.cs
and Compiled to Sage.Integration.Entity.Feeds.dll and to Sage.Platform.Orm.CodeGen.dll
How i can build/deploy this page in my conditions?

Did you follow all the instructions for the Installation and Configuration of the Mobile client?

Did you tested your SDATA site and made sure it was working properly?

Yes, i performed all steps with verify, but when i install the Web Hot Fix 03 for SalesLogix v7.5.3 in Output Window receive:

and ignore it (it's just WARN).

Maybe in this my problem?

you need to delete a dll out of each portal as part of the hf3 install, not purging the dll will result in a number of warnings and failure of the portal 

Install HF01, 02, 03 and follow ALL Instructions in the pdf documents. You did NOT do this fhe first time. I've been through this several times (as I skipped steps thinking I knew what I was doing....), there are no shortcuts.....the JSON references must be removed for example....

I try to reinstall HF01(02 and 03 on 7.5.3) but when Build Web Platform(Hot Fix 01) with hold CTRL, after:

If any of your errors include the phrase "No suitable method found to override" then you will have to start completely over, including SalesLogix 7.5.

Any chance you had issues with either of these files, BundleActionTypes.xml and/or ModelTypes.xml?

Also make sure to build AND deploy after each hotfix installation.

Oh and I hope you are working with a test environment! 

I had this exact issue today, and didn't have to re-install. Look in your Build Settings in AA and delete the files in the folders you have set there. Mine are:

Build Path: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sage\Platform\Output

Assemblies Path: C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\ReferenceAssemblies 

Next, look in your C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\ and delete any copies of Sage.Common.Syndication.json.dll from the Modules, Platform, and SalesLogix subfolders.

Now you're ready to go back in to AA, rebuild, a deploy.

At minimum deleting the JSON files is part of the HF03 documentation???

- Installing complete application of SalesLogix 7.5.3 after complete all prerequests.
- Install, Build and Deploy SalesLogix Web 7.5.3
-- no WARNs, no ERRs, successful etner from IE - work good. - reboot the server.
- Install Bundle Web HF01 after complete all steps prerequests for.
-- Build and Deploy without WARNs or ERRs, successful etner from IE - all work good.
- Reenter in Application Architect and Install Bundle Web HF02 after complete all steps prerequests for.
-- Make changes in web.config as indicated in "Applying_Web_Hot_Fix_Package_02_for_Sage_SalesLogix_7.5.3.pdf".
- Reenter in Application Architect and Install Bundle Web HF03 after complete all steps prerequests for.
-- Delete all *.json.*.dll-s from interface Application Architect.

As written in the instruction "Applying_Web_Hot_Fix_Package_03_for_Sage_SalesLogix_7.5.3.pdf" removed the Sage.Common.Syndication.Json library, but it is still used in the files: ClosingOpportunityAdapter.cs and AddOpportunityProductRequest.cs

The error present for almos any entity...

Please, did anybody fixed this problem?

For some reason, there was missing some DLLs from the SalesLogix\Modules, SalesLogix\Platform, SalesLogix\SupportFiles folders, and there was some of the DLLs that where different to the ones i have on a development virtual.

I replaced all the DLLs from the virtual to the server (have to shut down all SalesLogix services while doing it), and started the AppArchitect, and everything compiled without errors.

That server was deployed by a partrner and the only conclusion i have is that the procedure to apply the hotfixes was not followed rigth.  So, the "CalculateETagHash" error is related to wrong DLLs versions or the missing ones.  I replaced and copied all of them, so i cannot identify the specific one.

I got this right out of the git go....SLX 7.5.0, added LAN HF 9 and a few bundles. Went into AA, brought in the 7.5.3 backup project....CalculateETagHash right off the bath.

Then you have the config.ini issue with the DELAY=20 settings, and all bets are off. I'm at DELAY=240 for WHF3 and I still don't know if it will work......and they wanted us to increase the seconds in 5 second increments starting at 20? I'm doubling the increments.....20, 30, 60, 120, 240.....

And the SLX Services are all turned off, plus WWW.

Don't forget to delete the Syndication.JSON.dll files!!!

Bottom line as a 15 year + veteran of SLX..... this set of installs and updates absolutely feeds the pooch.

  This appears to be an MSI Patch issue with one of the Patches for Hotfix 1, 2 or 3 (for SP3).

  I have a Customer that was experiencing the Same Problems. Missing DLLs here and there, no explanation, everything seemed to be ok, but files were gone, you only noticed when you tried to do a Build.

  This is what I found out:

    After you applied HF1, HF2 and HF3, if you run Administrator from a Shortcut on the Start Menu, it will go through the "MSI Installation" process (as if it was doing a repair), when it does this, it deletes those DLLs.

  I was able to figure this out because I was working on a New Server for them, and figured out exactly when the files went missing.

  If I go to C:\Program Files\SalesLogix, and run the Administrator from there, or create a new Shortcut from there, it works fine, no MSI refresh.

  I reviewed the Start Menu Shortcuts and notice that they do not point directly to the Executable, but rather have MSI Shortcuts (You notice that the Target is read only, and just reads "SalesLogix Admin Tools and Servers".

  My take is that the Menu Entry remains an SP3 entry, and rolls back one of the HF, but rather than repair with the correct DLL, it deletes them (probably because those DLLs pre-dated SP3). Again, just theories on the exact MSI Issue, but 100% sure as long as you cancel out of that Installation or use your own shortcuts you will not missing any more DLLs.
