Customizing attachments tab, adding a new category field - Is it possible?

Hi,
One of our customers is requiring us to customize the attachments tab. The user should be able to somehow set a "category" for the attachment. Do you know if this is possible at all?
As far as I know, attachments are special entities and thus not customizable, but i may be wrong.
Any similar experiences?

We have done this customization a couple of times in the past in the Lan client.
It is not your stock easy change, I believe we created a new tab that allowed filtering by Category and we had to do an On After Attacment create event to allow the user to add the Category to the attachment.
If this is Web it would be a different story. |
