Hi,

After a recent 'upgrade' to SLX web (from LAN) users are complaining they no longer have the go to slx in Outlook, which saved a lot of time. Is there an equivalent in the web or has it just been deprecated?

Thanks

Nick

Are you referring to the "Send to SLX" functionality?

If so, you have to install the Advance Desktop Integration.

On the login page, there is a button that reads "Enhance SalesLogix", when installed it adds the following features:

  Drag and Drop Attachments

Drag and Drop Email from Outlook

Outlook Integration - Send SLX and Record to History

  Mail Merge

  Export to Excel

Drag and Drop Library Files (for Admin only)

HI Raul,

No, Send to SLX is there (I know you have to install the enhancements/desktop mgr etc.) but the buttons you get in Outlook consist of just Send to SLX. It used to have "Go To SLX" as well....

Oh well I guess they dropped it in the web version, that's a shame.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Three questions.

Are your users looking for the Send SLX and Record to History options?  The SalesLogix Desktop Manager provides these options.

Have you configured and deployed the SData portal?  The SalesLogix Desktop Manager requires SData to be deployed and working. SData deployment is documented in the Application Architect help files.

Have your users installed the SalesLogix Desktop Manager?  They can use the Enhance SalesLogix option on the login screen to download the installer.

Hope this helps,

Mark

Hi Nick,

The function of GoTo SLX that useed to take you directly to the contact in Lan is gone in the Stock web functionality.

You can check out LinkPoint360 as an addon that puts that function and much more into outlook and SalesLogix.

Hi Mark, thanks for the response yes Send SLX/ Record to History is all in place (as is Sdata etc.). Its just the "Go To SLX" button that used to take you to the contact in the LAN that I am querying. Anyway I had a response back from Sage today to say it is LAN only.

Brian thanks for the pointer - yes have used LinkPoint360 before - wanted a "free-er" option

Anyway something to consider, thanks again.

Nick
