Activating SmartPart from ToolbarYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I have sent up a new smart part that needs to be called from the opportunity details screen.

The smartpart will enable my users to enter a bespoke note.

I have added it to the toolbar but the Dialog window does not appear.

Can any one tell me if this is feasible or another way of activating this dialog (smartpart) maybe a button on the screen.

Thank you

Sarah

Are you sure you have added the new smartpart to the Opportunity Details screen (as part of the Dialog Workspace)?

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Nick

I have added the new smartpart to the Opportunity Details Screen and set the Target Workspace - "Dialog Workspace"

The new smart part have been created in History, but I would like it to display in Opportunities.

I have gone into Opportunity  ---> Forms --> Opportunity Detailand added a button to the Toolbar property.

On Click Action - Dialog Action and I have selected the Entity Type as History and then selected the Smart Part.

Thanks for your help.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

That sounds about right. No errors? Does it just do nothing? Anything in the event viewer on the web server? What is on this new dialog? It might be worth removing everything from the dialog just to make sure its not a problem with the dialog that is causing it not to load..

Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick

It is all working now, the smart part is being displayed.

The only thing which is not working now, which you may be able to help me with is the SAVE button.  The SAVE button is on the Quickform.

I'm getting the following error, any suggestions.

"Could not find the dynamic method History.. Check your method configuration to ensure that this method exists."

The smartpart being called is from History.

Hope you can help, thanks

Sarah
