This should be fairly simple but it is not working:


An existing user was released a plugin called: 'Account Details'.  We want to release another existing plugin called: 'Account Details- Joan'.  When I attempt to login in with user on any machine it says 'Could not load plugin 'System.Account Details' Please make sure it is released'.  It is still looking for the old plugin.  We are running SLX 7.54.  We use the fat client.  Any ideas of how to get the end user to view the 'new' plugin? 


How it should work:



  1. Removed the user from 'Account Details' and released this plugin again

  2. Released the 'Account Details- Joan' plugin to user


What I tried to make it work:



  • Removed all legacy forms using the same name.  'Account Details-Joan'.  Do I also need to remove all legacy forms name 'Accont Details'?

  • Created a new version of 'Account Details' and 'Account Details- Joan' plugin.  Tried releasing again.

  • Removed all users from both plugins and released again

  • Created a group with users in the group.  Released again using group rather than user. 

  • Attempted to  delete from USEROPTIONS where UserID = 'UBQHXA00300J' (user UserID).  Released plugin again.

  • NOTE: 'Account Details- Joan' plugin is set to Locked but so is the other plugin.  (select * from sysdba.PLUGIN where PLUGINID = 'pBQHXA0035ST')

Look in the MAIN View ! That's what calls the view itself.

Well I see 'Account Details' in the Main view but not 'Account Details- Joan' the name of the plugin.  Is this what I should be looking for?  This looks to be pulling groups not plugins.

Right, firstly - make sure Account Detail form/plugin is released to Everyone. The Main View does call on that. Next, go into Admin and select this user. In the Security Tab - use the drop down for the Entity (Account) and the view you want to use for Detail View (the drop-down should show Account Detail-Joan).


Does that work?

Thank you.  The key was the Account Entity and Detailed View.  The user can now access the correct plugin.
