It works fine in my testing.  The ASCX control is a simple implementation of FusionChartFree that loads up a count of opportunities and makes a funnel chart.

The control works fine when running in VS2008.  When I move it over to the Welcome page, it fails with error...

Could not load type 'SLX_FunnelChart'. 

Is this a matter of logins to the DB?  Can I use SPI?

Anyone know how can I get my SmartPart to load in the web environment?

Are SmartParts not able to use Code Behind in SLX Web?

So I created a new SmartPart with just a plain old Label in it.

Added it to the SmartPart directory via AA.

Added it to the Welcome page via AA.

Run the site, the SmartPart can be added to the view on the page.

It still fails to load with the same error.

I am officially stumped.  How can just a plain ASCX with a Label not load?

Is there a secret I need to know about to make things load?

The contents of my ASCX

OK.  So the Inherits has to contain "SmartParts_" before your class name.

The Class name in code behind has to also contain this.

There cannot be a set of Namespace brackets in the ASCX.

You would think this was documented some where.
