Hi, folks. I managed an SLX LAN deployment for some years, but have just been put in front of a web deployment. My main problem at the moment is that some users can see the Tickets on the web client, but most can't. I can't see any difference in the users' settings in Admin, and they all work fine for the LAN client, unfortunately I'm not sure where to even start digging for the web client access controls.

Can anyone point me in the right direction where this might be configured?

SLX version is 7.5.4.

thanks,

Mark

Ticket.SecCodeID? (probably not if all can be seen in the LAN).

Secured Actions and Roles would be my guess....

It doesn't look like the SecCodeId, because as you say - all is well on the LAN client.

I'll have a look for Secured Actions. Everyone appears to have the same settings on every tab in their Admin user profile though.

Are there any settings in App Architect that affect this sort of thing?

Mark:

Are you referring to the Tickets Modules or to Individual Tickets?

If the issue is that they cannot see the Tickets Module, then you need to check into which Roles those Users are assigned to. They may not have permissions to work with Tickest (This is done on the Web Client under Administrivate Rules. Check which "Roles" the affected users are assigned to. If necessary add the users to the Correct roles and/or modify the roles that they are assigned to).

If the issue relates to them not seeing certain Tickets, then it is likely a "Security" Issue related to the Ownership of the Tickets.

You probably should look into "Role" membership. This is done on the Web Client by logging as Administrators and accessing the Modules under the Administrative nav bar.

Aha! That's perfect!

Is there an easy way to add a lot of users to a Role at once, or do I have to do them one-by-one?

You should be able to select multiple users at the same time.
