SlxCustomerPortal - Groups Fail to showYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I just deployed the Customer Portal on a v754 system and the Groups list failes to show. I've traed this to a failure in sdata (or what i believe is a failure to return the groups list through sdata).

I have slxmobile and slxClient working on the site just fine but the Groups xml file returns with only Lookup results. None of the Plugin Groups come through so the Groups drop down lists only "Lookup".

The issue doesn't appear to be related to the customer portal but more likely sdata? Does anyone know what service pack could address this or is there some other setting.

Thanks

I just rereleased all the TICKET groups with datacode=CUSTOMERPORTAL, did a rebuild all and redeployed ... no change.

Does anyone know how the list of groups is extracted into the user session.

Support indicated it was processed into a xml file during the build process. I though it was coming down from sdata, but haven't found a feed detailing it in the slxClient.

Any ideas appreciated?

When it comes to Groups, you don't have to "build" or "deploy" anything for the changes to be pulled by the Portal (if you are logged in, you may need to log out and back in to receive them).

I just performed the following 2 tests (on 7.54):

  Test 1:

  a) Using SQL Management Studio, Set the DataCode to "CUSTOMERPORTAL" for the "Punched In" group.

  b) Logged into the Customer Portal.

  c) The "Punched In" group was now present.

  Test 2:

  a) Updated the Layout of the "Web Portal All Tickets" group.

  b) Updated the Group Releases

  c) Since I was still logged in from Test 1, checked the Group, layout still not updated

  d) Logged out and Logged back in to Customer Portal

  e) I can now see the new layout of the group.

I just got it to work with support,

Neither of us could identify what caused it to change but it was like a boolean switch that turned them all off.

profiler called them out (but never by the datacode).

In the end we did a full rebuild/deploy/iisreset and it came up.

Thanks
