Hi all,

We have a client on v8 using a vanilla version of the web client (their LAN version is customised). Whenever they attempt to load the Insert Opportunity page in the web client they are encountering the exception below:

<p>Account Partner PickList not Found.

SalesLogix Error Id: SLX2885127DD4ABBFC2

URL: http://localhost:3333/SlxClient/InsertOpportunity.aspx?modeid=Insert

Exception type: System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations.ValidationException

Source: ASP.InsertOpportunity, App_Web_loyn5dgd, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null

at ASP.InsertOpportunity.quickformload3(Object sender, EventArgs e)

   at ASP.InsertOpportunity.DoActivating()

   at ASP.InsertOpportunity.OnFormBound()

   at Sage.Platform.WebPortal.SmartParts.EntityBoundSmartPart.OnPreRender(EventArgs e)

   at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal()

   at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

It would appear that the web client thinks it is missing a picklist however the picklist mentioned in the exception definitely exists. We have tried deleting and recreating this picklist, rebuilding and restoring the VFS however the error still persists.

Any ideas?

Go into the Options/General tab and click on the button to Update the picklists. It will seem as if nothing ocurred, but that button updates the Picklist Cache (on the memcache server).

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunatly this does not seem to have resolved the issue. Any other ideas?

Create a Picklist with a different name and try it (just to see if it behaves differently).

Make sure you have no extra spaces in the name.

Also, what is the Code on the "DoActivating" function? Are you setting the Picklist name at run time?

Thanks for your suggestion.

Using the profiler we found that SLX was looking for a picklistid that did not exist. Presumably this picklist must have been recreated at some point and this is what originaly caused the problem. Updating the picklist with the correct id resolved the issue.

Thanks for your help.
