Hi,

I'm trying to install the Web host for V8. It is a new web install on new server (2008 R2) on a SLX Db that we have been using LAN only and I have just upgraded to V8 from 7.5. My issue is that it doesn't seem to be getting deployed to IIS. I've checked security for WebDLL user and have even made it local admin. I've followed install guide using all default settings but I am obviously missing something (probably simple).

I get the below deployment messages but the website, files in C:\inetpub\wwwroot directory and app pool are not created.

INFO  - Beginning Portal Deployments

INFO  - The deployment was completed Successfully

Just realised I am not getting the "configure SalesLogix database" option during the installation. The server has all the administration tools and client installed though so unsure why this wouldn't come up.

Did you install the Web Host first?

I have newly implemented SLX Web for v8 from older SLX databases and you must do a combination of instructions from the Implementation Guide and the Upgrade instructions.  Review and follow both sets closely and appropriately...

Thanks Dawn - I will review the upgrade documentation and see if I can find anything.

Definitely not getting the "configure SalesLogix database" step on the V8 install as per the upgrade and installation guides. If I run the 7.5 web host install, this step does come up so I am at a bit of a loss. Currently just a test environment so might try intalling the 7.5 and then running the V8 upgrade.
