Automatically assigning marketing campaign to an opportunityYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

After much searching around the forum I couldn't find the answer. I was wondering if anybody could help me with my query...

I'm currently using 7.5.4 and have setup a number of marketing campaigns and assigned targets (accounts and contacts) to each campaign.

I would like to monitor the amount of Open/Won/Lost opportunites created from a specific campaign. I thought that if an account/contact had been assigned to a campaign the opporturtunity would be associated to that particular campaign.

Instead I am having to manually associate an opportunity with a marketing campaign.

Would appreciate any help with my issue. Thanks

The answer of course is that multiple campaigns can influence any number of opportunities and contacts and\or Accounts.....so the potential influencer (that's singular) for a specific opportunity is vague at best......

Sounds like you want a link from Opportunity to Campaign for the Primary Influence Campaign...... (and here I thought it was the Account Manager who was trying to close the deal....)

Thanks for the reply.

Targets associated to a specific campaign will stay in that campaign for the entire time they are in the database.

A link from the oportunity to Primary Influence Campaign is exactly what I need. Would you be able to work with me on this project?
