Hi all,

I am trying to get a dev site set up with the mobile development toolkit kindly provided by Customer FX but when I run the dev site I get an error - Process window not found. The mobile log in page loads but when I log in I just get "An error occured on the server" The mobile portal works fine, SData is working fine as we have an integration running using it. ( http://server:3333/sdata/slx/dynamic/-/ also fine) The event view has the below which points to something wrong in my IIS application configuration??

Exception information:

    Exception type: ConfigurationErrorsException

Exception message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\sdata\web.config line 84)

Any suggestions most appreciated.

Thanks
Leon

Edit: V8.0 mobile 3.0 sorry...

The "Process window not found" error can be ignored. The mobile dev toolkit uses an small, portable version of IIS, not full blown IIS. This is a small, command-line web server. The toolkit tries to find the command window and hide it (which on some system doesn't work), causing the error. It's annoying, but no worries, it is just the hiding of the command window that is failing. Also, you don't have to run the mobile website this way, you can add it as a full website under IIS as well if you'd like.

As far as the other error, did you change the location of the SData server in the dev configuration? That is required. Sage used to have a demo/test SData server which no longer exists that I know of under Swiftpage. The default dev configuration points to a non-existent IP address SData server. You need to change it to a valid one.

Hi Ryan - thanks for replying. Could not ask for anyone better to support this product I guess! I did change the server details development.js file. Is that all that needs to be changed?

I've managed to get it working on our live server so must some some configuration problem on the dev server. I can move forward from here so all good.

Thanks for your help though
