In the process of upgrading to version 8.2 web from all LAN client. I need to create a number of tabs to mimic what we have in the LAN client. I created a quick form under Accounts and performed a build and deployed but cant seem to figure out how to see that in the web client so there must be a step I am missing here or just plain doing it wrong. Can I get a quick 1.2.3 on how to create and publish a tab?

Hi David,

It sounds like you may just need to add your new quick form to the page. You can do this by following the steps below:

  • Go To Portal Manager > SlxClient > Pages

  • Double click the Account Detail page

  • On the Smart parts tab click the plus symbol to pop up a window that allows you to select your quick form

  • In the right side panel make sure that the Target Workspace is set to TabControl and ShowInMode is set to Detail

  • Build and deploy and you should see your new tab when viewing an Account

Hope that helps

Lee

Awesome! Smart Part was the piece I was missing. Looked that up in the help and it tied everything together.

Thanks Lee!
