Interface not supported. Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Having trouble with mail merge on a single machine running 7.0.1, Office XP, Outlook 2003. Any type of mail merge returns "Mail merge engine can't continue. Interface not supported." Have reinstalled all components involved to no avail. Any ideas?

On the MSI there is a "feature" that needs to be enabled for mail merge. Verify with the install that you selected the mail merge feature - it's burried in the MSI. Now, verify the following files exist on the machine:

SLXMMEngine.dll
SLXMMGUI.dll
SLXMMSupport.dll
slxdoc.dll
SLXFax.dll
SLXFramer.ocx
MailMerge.chm

Then, re-register the following dlls.

SLXMMEngine.dll
SLXMMGUI.dll
SLXMMSupport.dll
slxdoc.dll
SLXFax.dll

Also, the fact that you have different versions of Office/Outlook alert me.
