Clash with Microsoft Office Communicator 2007

Hi All
each machine here has a standard build that includes Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 which talks to Outlook. When SLX is installed this link seems to be broken. Has anyone seen this happening?
Our IT department is looking into this but would value any input here.

Do you or your company have anything to do with Andy Bain/QGate software? The reason I ask - he posted the exact same question at 15:36 yesterday to another group !! Or you getting 0x80040119 ?
The only thing I can think of is a MAPI clash (I've not used Communicator). check the MAPI/MAPI32 versions and let us know. |

Hi Mike
Yes Andy was pushing this back through sage for us. Late yesterday I found that both could live on the same box if I removed the SLX address Book from outlook. More testing is required but my box is now working. We also look at the MAPI
many thanks Alec |

Ah that explains it !! Thought it was odd ! So, it's just slxab32.dll that's the issue - must be the way it integrates itself into the To: part of email addressing that clashes with Communicator. Obviously, if you don't use/need that - you can just de-register that dll (leaving slmn.dll for drag/drop & history).
